PCMCIA and CardBus Cable under Windows 2000

How to install PCMCIA/IDE or CardBus/IDE driver in Window 2000 environment?

1. For First Time User:

When inserting the PCMCIA/CardBus card with device, a "New Hardware Found" message shall pops up. Select "Next" to continue installation.
Select "Search for a suitable driver...." button and select "Next".
In "Select a Device Driver page", select "Have Disk" to specify location.
Enter path like "A:\Win2000" or browse the floppy drive and select the appropriate folder.
Select "Addonics Cardbus....or Addonics PCMCIA...". Click Next
Click yes for windows warnings then
Let Win2000 to finish the installation and that's it.

2. For those user that already install the driver but not working:

Go to "Control Panel", "System", "Hardware", "Device Manager", within "IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller" folder, shall find "PCMCIA ATA/ATAPI Controller or Standard IDE/ESDI hard disk controller" which they were installed by using default driver earlier.
Double click it, select "Driver" tab, select "Update Driver",select "Next" to continue.
Select "Display a list of known driver...." button and select "Next".
In "select a Device Driver page", select "Have Disk" to specify location.
Enter path like "A:\Win2000" or browse the floppy drive and select the appropriate folder.
Select "Addonics Cardbus....or Addonics PCMCIA....". Click Next
Click yes for windows warnings then
Let Win2000 to finish the installation and that's it.

Note: "Addonics PCMCIA/IDE Controller Win2000" is made for PCMCIA mode IDE controller. "Addonics CardBus/IDE Controller Win2000" is made for CardBus mode IDE controller.
