Saturn or Jupiter SATA Enclosure and/or Cradle Compatibility Configuration with SiI3124 and SiI3132This document identifies a registry key to make the Saturn or Jupiter SATA enclosure and/or cradle function correctly when connected to a SATA host controller with Silicon Image chipsets SiI3124 and SiI3132. Instructions:
Inside Windows
2. Open Windows Registry, go to Start > Run then type regedit. where driver name has the format: 4. For the Problem devices key add a String value (right click, select string value). In the name of the value type the IDENTITY DATA as presented by the SiI31xx BIOS POST during start up.
5. Right click on the created String value and select Modify from the pop-up menu. In the Value data field enter DisableSataQueueing.
6. Close the Windows Registry and reboot your system Optional: Registry Files can be used to simply the process. Click Here to download a zip file containing two registry files; one is for Host Controllers with the Silicon Image Chipset 3124 Raid5, and the other for Host Controllers with the Silicon Image Chipset 3132 Raid5. Extract the registry file for your host controller, right click, and choose Edit. In the Registry file you will see: "DRIVE A"="DisableSataQueueing" Change DRIVE A to the IDENTITY DATA of the hard drive you wish to use with the Saturn Enclosure. Additional drives can be added into the Registry File to be tweaked at the same time. "DRIVE B"="DisableSataQueueing" After editing the Registry File and saving, run the Registry File and the information should be added to the registry. Reboot the computer and the Saturn or Jupiter Enclosure and drive should be able to be operated. |
