Q. Can I burn DVD disc using the DVD/CDRW drive?
A. No, the DVD/CDRW drive can only burn CD-R or CD-RW disc and access DVD
Materials.

Q. I have a DVD/CDRW Firewire Drive and the connector does not fit into my computers
ilink port or 4pin firewire port.
A. You need to purchase an optional 6pin to 4pin firewire adapter. For Firewire (6-pin) to iLink or DV port (4-pin) adapter, check www.cablestogo.com.

A. Yes, the Pocket USBDVD/CDRW drive is backward compatible with an USB 1.1 controller.

Q. I connected the Pocket USB DVD/CDRW drive to an USB 1.1 controller, is it going to perform in USB 2.0 mode?
A. No, it will only run in USB 1.1 mode. You need to upgrade to USB 2.0 controller to benefit from the drive and cable capability. Addonics provide both a USB 2.0 PCI controller for Desktop computer and a CardBus USB 2.0 controller for Notebook computer.

Q. On one of my computer the Pocket USB DVD/CDRW drive works without using an external
Power adapter but not on my other computer?
A. This indicates that on some computers the USB port does not provide enough power for a device to run without using the external power, therefore the external power will be required.

Q. My DVD/CDRW drive is not being detected by my computer, what is wrong?
A. 1.Make sure that there is power to the drive.
2.Make sure that all cables are connected properly and securely.
3.Make sure that the connector is connected to your computer.
4.Make sure to load the driver files when required.
