Q. Why is there no Unique Icons for the Digidrives under Windows XP?
A. Since, the drive uses Microsoft Default Driver under Windows XP there will be no special Icon. User must label the media in order to distinguish the proper drive letter to access.

Q. My Digidrive is not being detected by the system?
A. Make sure that the Digidrive is directly connected to the USB port not through a Hub.
Some external Hubs do not provide enough power for external USB devices.

Q. If I connect my Digidrive to an USB 2.0 Controller, will it perform in USB 2.0 mode?
A. Depending on the model of the DigiDrive you have. Currently only the Pocket UDD operates in USB 2.0 mode.

Q. I have an USB 2.0 Controller card, Will my USB Digidrive work?
A. Yes, all the USB Digidrives are compatible with USB 2.0 controller.

Q. Is an External Power Adapter needed for the USB Digidrive?
A. No, the Digidrive do not need an external power adapter. It gets power directly from the
USB port.

Pocket DigiDrive

Q. Why is there no Unique Icons for the Pocket Digidrives under Windows XP?
A. Since, the drive uses Microsoft Default Driver under Windows XP there will be no special Icon. User must label the media in order to distinguish the proper drive letter to access.

Q. Why is my Pocket Digidrive (AEPDMD4) LED lights are always Lit?
A. That is normal for the lights to be lit all the time, the light will blink if the drive is being access.

IDE DigiDrive

Q. How do I install this device under DOS?
A. You can install the IDE DigiDrive under DOS 6.22 with the following DOS driver.

Q. Under Windows 2000, when I switch media, the media capacity does not get updated under my computer folder or property. It still reports the storage capacity of the first media that I put in the drive. But there seems to be no problem in writing or reading files from the new media.
A. There is bug in Windows 2000. It does not do a disk rescan to update the new media capacity. This problem can be fixed by installing the IDE DigiDrive software utility.

Q. There are four slots on my IDE DigiDrive, however I only see one drive letter?
A. That is normal. This device will only access one type of media at a time. When you switch media to different slot under Windows OS, the drive will detect the new media via the same icon.
