iSCSI Storage Tower II Configuration Examples
The iSCSI Subsystem integrated into the Storage Tower II is more economical iSCSI appliance plenty of storage expansion possibilities. The Storage Tower II features an integrated 80w power supply in a lightweight and compact chassis with a stylish and functional front bezel. With one 5.25" drive bay available, there is room for one 3.5" hard drive or up to four 2.5" hard drives via the 2.5" Disk Array 4SA.
External Expansion Capability
For further hard drive expansion, two SCSI-1 (Centronics 50-pin) punch outs are available for mounting the 4 eSATA ports bracket (AD4ESASB). This bracket allows one or more external drive enclosures to be attached onto one of the eight SATA ports built into the iSCSI Subsystem. For instance, a Storage Tower with Hardware Port Multiplier installed (ST5HPMES-B) with all of the drives configured as a single RAID volume can be attached onto one of the remaining SATA ports, easily upgrading the iSCSI Subsystem with the capacity of an additional five SATA hard drives.

Basic iSCSI Subsystem features
- Dedicated iSCSI storage appliance with 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports with load-balancing and fail-over for high availability
- Designed to be mounted into any standard 5.25" drive bay
- Supports Hardware RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 6, 10, 30, 50, 60, JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks)
- Accommodates up to 8 individual SATA hard drives, supports up to 40 when drives are connected through Hardware Port Multipliers (drives attached to the HPM must be configured as a single RAID volume)
- Housing is constructed with heavy duty steel with ventilation holes
- Upgradeable Memory supporting 512MB ~ 1GB DDR 333mhz DIMM
