This family of new Pocket DVD-RRW drive is one of the first in the market that comes with both the high speed eSATA and the ubiquitous USB 2.0 interface. When connected to eSATA port, you are assured of the fastest DVD writing and smooth movie play back. While the USB interface also assures this DVD-RRW drive be able to attach to practically any computer.

Comes with choice of light weight plastic enclosure or the sturdy anodized aluminum for use in heavy duty environment, this Pocket eSATA/USB DVD-RRW can be powered directly from most USB ports* for true mobility in using it with the Notebook. Securing the data

You can now secure your data on the DVD or CD disc with AES 256-bit encryption by simply installing the optional Addonics CipherUSB between the Pocket Blu-ray/DVDRW and the USB port of the PC. There is no addtional software to install or password to remembrr to use the CiperUSB. Once encrypted, the information on the disc will be invisible in any Blu-Ray or DVD/CD player. * Addonics has successfully tested the Pocket CD II, DVD II and DVD/CDRW II using Direct power from USB ports on various brands of Notebook and Desktop computers. However, Addonics does not guarantee the device will work with power directly from the computers as the power from the USB ports varies from different system manufacturers.

Note: starting April 1, 2012, Nero software is no longer included with the product. There aree many powerful free CD and DVD burning software available to download. The following free software titles have been verified with the Addonics DVD/CDRW drive - CDBurnerXP, ImgBurn, Burrrn. All three software titles have received excellent rating. You can find the download links by searching any of these software title in the Internet.
