This Snap-In 25 is one of the most simple and versatile drive kit solutions in the market. Designed with the exact same dimensions and mounting hole locations of a 3.5" SATA hard drive, you can use this Snap-In 25 to install a 2.5" SATA hard drive into practically any equipment designed for 3.5" SATA hard drive. So with this Snap-In 25, 3.5" hard drive or 2.5" hard drive can be easily intermixed into any 3.5" back plane, removable drive system, Addonics Disk Array, Snap-In Mobile Rack, Diamond or Saturn drive kits.



The Snap-In 25 is also a simple economical solution for installing a 2.5" drive cartridge system into any computer with a standard 3.5" drive bay. Any 2.5" hard drive or SSD can be quickly installed into the removal drive tray. When the Snap-In 25 is connected to a hot swappable SATA port, the hard drive can be added or removed from the system via the removable drive tray without the need to restart the system, similar to a floppy drive

The Snap-In 25 containing the 2.5" hard drive can be used in any drive kit or equipment that are designed for 3.5" SATA hard drive

* Serial ATA hot swap feature works only with controllers basing on Silicon Image chip set from our in house testing. Other controllers that are not Silicon Image based may not support hot swap. You may consider adding one of the Addonics Serial ATA host controllers to your systems to ensure the hot swap capability. New controllers from Intel and other suppliers may finally support this feature. Please verify with your controller manufacturer if you need to have hot swap in your application. Hot swap is supported in Windows 2000 and XP only. On other OS, drive can be removed without crashing system. But replacing with a different drive can result in crashing the OS.
