The IDE to SCSI family of adapters enables IDE hard
drive to be used transparently like SCSI hard drive. With choice
of the Single Port or the Dual Ports version which can connect up
to two IDE hard drives using one SCSI ID. In addition, the Dual
Ports version also supports JBOD configuration that combines the
capacity of two hard drives into one single volume. This unique
feature allows adding terabyte storage into SCSI interface using
low cost IDE or SATA hard drives.
Both adapters are designed to mount easily onto the
IDE removable hard drive systems (or Mobile Rack), instantly turning
it into a removable SCSI hard drive system. When combined with Addonics
Saturn Mobile Rack
and Saturn
Cipher Mobile Rack, SATA hard drive, IDE hard drive, with or
without encryption can also be easily mixed into the SCSI chain.
The LVD160 SCSI interface of these IDE to SCSI adapter also ensures
fast data transfer up to 160 MB/sec.
