The IDE DigiDrive is another unique Flash memory reader/writer solution for desktop system, fileservers, Kiosk or industrial application. Fits into standard 3.5" drive bay, the device connects to IDE controller as either a master or slave device. Unlike other DigiDrive members, the IDE DigiDrive utilizes one drive icon to read/write to the media in any one of the four media slots. The device can be used in legacy systems running DOS, Windows 95 or NT. The IDE DigiDrive functions just like a floppy device, using flash memory media instead of the old floppy disk.

Key Features

  • IDE connection
  • Use as master device in primary IDE channel (1)
  • Fits standard 3.5" drive bay
  • Choice of ivory or black front bezel
  • Choice of READ only version (prevent writing over the media accidentally)
  • Read and write to CF-I, CF-II, Smart Media™, Memory Stick™, Micro Drive™, Multimedia Card™, Secure Digital Card™ .
  • One drive icon to support one type of media at a time*
  • Up to 40 Mbits/sec (5 MB/sec) data transfer (depending on the type of media)
  • Works under DOS 6.22, Windows 95, 98SE, Me, 2000, XP and NT4.0

Note: (1) Although the device can be set as slave device, we do not recommend setting to slave as there are report of compatibility problem when in certain computer when used as a slave drive.

*The IDE DigiDrive can only recognize one media at a time. The Flash media that the drive icon represents depends on what media is present in one of the four slots. Once the drive icon detects the first media, subsequent addition of Flash media to other slots cannot be detected until the detected media is removed. If more than one media is inside the device during system boot up, the drive icon will always default to the first slot (in sequential order defined by the device) that contains the media.
