The Console Optical Drive Kit, an extension of the Console
Drive, enables any Addonics Pocket CD, DVD, CDRW, or DVD+/-R/RW device
to become a removable bootable drive via a 5 1/4" drive bay of any
Desktop, Server, Industrial PC or equipment. The Console Optical Drive
kit can connects to the system board via various interfaces - IDE, USB
2.0, Serial ATA or Firewire. The interface flexibility enables the deployment
of slim optical ATAPI devices in a wide range of applications and equipment
that you could ever imagine - Server application, vehicle PC, home entertainment,
remote storage connection...

The Console Optical Drive kit comes in choice of black or
ivory color to match your equipment. Each kit consists of the following
basic components
- Console Cradle - Fits inside a
standard 5 1/4" drive bay with a back plane that can can attach
to standard IDE interface. Can also be converted to other interface
connection with the following optional converters or interface cables
- DVD Console Tray - To enable the
Addonics Pocket CD, DVD, DVD/CDRW, DVD+/-R/RW to be used as a removable
ATAPI device via the Console Cradle.
