Addonics Announces 32x Combo CD-RW/Copier and 16X Pocket CD-RW Drive

The Combo CD-RW/Copier can be used as a standalone (no computer needed) one-to-one CD duplicator and as an external high speed CD-RW drive, which can be connected to a PC via USB, Firewire or CardBus connection. The Pocket CDRW is barely larger than a standard Compact Disc case and enables users to burn CDs at 16X speed as well as read CD-R, CD-RW disc, video CDs, music CDs, and Photo CDs at 24X speed. It measures 5.62" x 5.31" x .8" and weighs just 14 ounces. List price of the Pocket CD-RW with is $385 with USB 2.0, $395 for CardBus version, or $429 for the FireWire model. Recognized read/write formats for both drives include CD-ROM mode, CD-ROM XA Mode-2 Form 1/2, Mix mode CD, Video CD, CD-I movies (MPEG), CD-DA, CD-Extra, CD-G and CD TEXT. Each drive includes CD mastering software to support Windows 98SE, ME, NT, 2000, and XP. The Addonics Combo CRW/Copier features a fast 52X CD-ROM as a source drive and a high speed 32X/12X/40X CD-RW as the destination drive. The drive automatically detects the format of the CD media to perform at the maximum speed of the media. List price of the Addonics CDRW/Copier is $489 with USB 2.0 interface cable, and $520 with FireWire cable.
