SuperDisk LS-240/120 MB Drive

(Tom's Hardware Guide ) -- May 31, 2001 -- Ackward compatible is always good, but adding new capabilities to old media is even better. Addonics just announced the Pocket SuperDisk 240, a 240MB LS-120 transportable drive with a USB interface for PC and Macintosh systems. The little external drive weighs less than 12 ounces and reads/writes data onto new 240MB (LS-240) disk media, along with being backward compatible with SuperDisk 120 media and standard 1.44MB floppy disks. The cool thing about the Pocket SuperDisk drive is that it provides a software utility that allows you to store 32MB of data on standard 1.44MB floppy disks. The Pocket SuperDisk 240 is priced at $199, and is on the street as we speak.
