Below are instructions on how to install a PCI, PCI-X, or PCI-Express controller into a standard Desktop PC.
Disconnect power cord from the Desktop PC power supply. Open the case and find the location of the PCI, PCI-X, or PCI-Express slot on the motherboard.
Insert the PCI, PCI-X, or PCI-Express controller into the appropriate slot on the motherboard until the card is seated flush into the expansion slot. make sure the PCI bracket section of the controller is aligned with an opening on the PC case.
Insert mounting screw through the notch on the PCI, PCI-X, or PCI-Express controller and through a hole in the PC case, turning the screw clockwise to tighten and secure the controller onto the PC case.
